Unit 25 Digital Access – Elementary Mechanics and Dynamics – USCS
Facility Operator Series Unit 25: Elementary Mechanics and Dynamics
Edition 1
The purpose of Elementary Mechanics and Dynamics is to develop confidence describing the physical world, using mathematical expressions. This unit introduces force, and how it is related to acceleration. It will then use the concept of force to discuss moments, and how moments can be used to solve static based problems.
This is Unit 25 of the 25-unit Facility Operator Series and prepares you for the NIULPE Topic based certification examination.
Please note that this product is published with United States customary (USCS) units of measurement.
Topics covered by Elementary Mechanics and Dynamics include:
- Introduction to basic mechanics
- Forces and moments
- Simple machines
- Scalars and vectors
- Linear velocity and acceleration
- Force, work, pressure, power and energy
- Friction
- Stress and strain
- Power transmission
